Ruthy was born in her mother’s friend’s living room, giving her automatic bragging rights to tell people she was born to entertain. Ruthy is of Dominican descent, born and bred in The Bronx, NYC, same birthplace as legend comedians, Robert Klein, Carl and Rob Reiner, Penny Marshall, Greg Giraldo and Bronx-raised Tracy Morgan and Jimmie Walker, and more.

Ruthy has always been a fan of comedy, and swears to this day that “Yo Mama” jokes started in The Bronx in one of her classrooms in the early eighties, where she spent most of her time cranking out these jokes with her classmates.

Today, Ruthy has a passion for comedy and entertainment and is an active New York-based stand up comedian and has performed at top comedy clubs and venues across the East Coast such as Gotham Comedy Club, Broadway Comedy Club, Mohegan Sun, and Catch a Rising Star.
