Aniria Turney is a stand-up comedian and actor. Her journey as a stand-up comedian started during a tumultuous marriage with toddlers in tow, a full-time job, and working on her Master’s degree. “Was it hard? Yes. I cried a lot but comedy was my passion and I couldn’t leave it behind.” Aniria’s comedy expresses the “in your face” truths about cultural differences, dating, kids, sex and how men and women relate. Because she started her passion for stand-up later in life, it quickly became therapy that helped her get through a divorce and juggling a new dating life with raising kids. Now remarried, her repertoire has expanded.
