Jessi Realz

Chicago, IL via Mexico City, MX

Born and raised in Mexico City and now rooted in Chicago, Jessi Realz (she/her) is a comedian, actor, writer, director, and producer deeply invested in community building and lifting up underrepresented voices. As the co-founder and creative mind behind ensembles like Las Tinas, Ratas de Dos Patas, and Tus Tías, she’s made waves with inventive, culturally rich improv and theater projects. Las Tinas have been spotlighted by Telemundo and the Chicago Tribune, while Ratas de Dos Patas earned Outstanding Improv Ensemble from ALTA in 2019. Tus Tías received selections for both the Latinx Theater Commons Comedy Carnaval and La Jolla Playhouse’s New Latinx Play Festival.

Beyond performing, Jessi champions inclusivity and intersectionality through her work. She’s produced comedy shows across Chicago that intentionally feature BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, disabled, and other marginalized artists—creating spaces where diverse stories are heard, celebrated, and transformed into laughter.
